i'm not an obama supporter either, but i do like to know who my candidates are up against and here's the REAL deal on obama. yes, his name is decidedly muslim. but like ALOT of black africans, it comes with the territory. they're muslim like alot of americans are whatever religion they are. it's there as the main religion to go to when ppl need something bigger than themselves to believe in. kinda like how being catholic and being mexican go hand in hand. bad analogy, but it works. he's been with the united church of christ for MOST, if not ALL of his adult life. the only reason he went to that school AS A CHILD, was b/c it happened to be in his neighborhood and was the only school his mom could afford to send him to. as for that flag rap: you are NOT required by law to say the pledge of allegiance. just ask the jehova's witnesses. if you do not want to say it, you stand there silently. very simple. as for the hand over the heart thing he's been reamed for: this was doing the playing of the national anthem. you also DO NOT have to put your hand over your heart for it. men are to remove their hats, tho. usually before they play the national anthem, you are asked to stand sliently and respectfully for it. some places go a step further and ask you to look toward the flag. but since it's NOT required by law to do so, i see no problems with his reactions that everyone is up in arms about. besides, did you go look up what was REALLY going on when it happened? or are you just gonna trust a 10sec clip from CNN? apparently, homeboy just knows his stuff when it comes to how you act during these two "patriotic" events. besides, how many americans do YOU know who can actually recite the pledge or know how many verses are in the anthem? how about the history behind these two things? go look THAT up before you slam a man who's done his best to make his life very transparent for us, unlike some political candidates, even my own. yes, the radical islamists are out to get us. but he's not one of them nor his he trying to help them do it.
