Unfortunately, the Harry Potter Lexicon does not provide scholarly analysis or commentary. As revealed in the trial, over 90% of the Lexicon is copied word-for-word from Rowling's works, and around 7% more is either public quotes from Rowling or quotes from third parties. A very small percentage contains translations of Latin words (easily found in any Latin-to-English dictionary) and general commentary that does not provide any more insight than what any fan would know.

Rowling has no problem with legitimate companion books that provide more than a rearranged copy+paste.
