This is fairly tricky skating we're getting on here, judging social
dynamics in a breast v. bottle scenerio... how to prove quality of a
relationship is difficult enough, let a relationship with an infant and
adult...
But really, I think this is besides the point. Not
only is breastfeeding healthy, safe, and inexpensive as nourishment for
your kid, it has benefits for the mother as well, be they weight loss, or a sense
of closeness with their child.

With all the practical reasons
there are to breastfeed, I really don't need any study on baby-to-mom
closeness. He's right there at my breast.
