Re: Obama Nailed It
by Underground Sanity

Amen to the comments of JSWORD.

Objectively, I find it disturbing to see how frequently the Clinton Campaign will stoop to disingenuous and hypocritical attacks. How could Hilary Clinton honestly deny that her campaign strategists were busy trying to find a way to communicate with the besieged middle class and blue collar voters that Obama was referring to [yes, including their reflexive and reactionary resort to familiar "wedge"issues] at the very moment that Clinton was publicly attacking Obama for speaking the hard truth? Regarless of the media flak, the real issue of breaking through the cynicism of these voters who have been so badly misled and mistreated by Gingrich/Rove politics remains a real problem. How and why should they trust ANY politician?

My concern is that any candidate who will throw ethics and judgment out the window and do ANYTHING to win, will do ANYTHING once they have won. We will suffer the inescapable and devastating burdens resulting from 8 years of a President who lacks courage, ethics and the competence to control his organization.

Hilary Clinton is no George W. Bush, but the hem of the fabric is starting to fray. Come on Hilary, try behaving like the kind of person we could be proud to vote for, instead of someone we should vote for because you have persuaded us that we should fear voting for the other guy. Be a leader if you want someone to follow you. As the saying goes, "lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way!"

This phony and hypocritical carping serves no one and no constructive purpose. There must be plenty of real and substantive issues you could be talking about to distinguish your own credentials for the nomination. If not, then why are you running?
