Obama, YouTube, Steelton (4-13-08)

Hillary is like my Grandma. She has to be right, she lies to prove she's right, and she criticizes you when you say the same things she says unless you genuflect. McCain is like my Gramps. He's a decorated war hero, but in his seventies dementia caught up with him. The thought of this 19th century flip-flopper and warmonger as commander-in-chief is truly frightening. The Bush/Cheney/McCain/Clinton axis fears Obama, and rightly so: in him, we have a politician who wants to do the greatest good for the greatest number, and especially for the bitter ones broken by Iraq and the economy and the cynical Bush/Cheney/McCain/Clinton axis. Clinton voted for the bankruptcy bill that protects credit card companies from their own BS. (BS, of course, could also stand for Bear Stearns and the recent bailout of that financial entity.) Obama stated the obvious: the Bush/Cheney/McCain axis every four years push people's hot buttons: abortion, gay marriage, the rights of gunowners, and lots of people, divided and conquered, have voted accordingly. Nothing elitist about recognizing that. Obama actually is a different type of politician. That doesn't mean he's going to lay down his arms or turn the other cheek. In the YouTube speech posted today from Steelton, he made that clear to me.
