While I have always believed in being polite, there are some people you don't dare be nice to. Once you give them a polite nod they think you want them as your best buddy.

If the new wife wants acceptance perhaps she should allow her husband a few visits with out her and her children. Her husband's daughter might not view her as such an enormous pain them.
