Typical Heartless Egotistical Americans
by asadastra

Think for a moment about this case as if the victim was a legal US citizen. Think about this case as if the victim were a friend or relative of yours. Think about this case as if you had a drop of compassion in your cold veins. No matter what the person has done, medical professionals are bound by US LAW (which all of you keep referring to) as well as ethical code to administer care to the patient (even if s/he is an illegal immigrant, prisoner, serial killer, etc). That's the crux of this article, and that's what the laws and the courts and the ACLU are there for: to protect people from those who break or twist the laws as they see fit. Just because someone has broken one law does not meanthat we can decide to let other laws be broken as some skewed version of justice. I'm ashamed that most of these comments are so heartless and praising the law while unabashidly promoting lawlessness.
