This guy did deserve pain meds, I'll give him that much. But, I must say that this story is painfully a disgrace to those who have died of cancer, yet have no one to sue. Cancer is cruel and unusual punishment, period! My friend died from it, even after an amputation, and even after BEING "TREATED" for it. Why can't her family sue? Well, because there is no one to blame. There is no cure for cancer anyway, and some people get way better care than others. Some react miraculously to treatment while others suffer, suffer, and suffer some more. The fact that this guy was illegally camped out in our country and then jailed is the ONLY reason his story is so "important". Had he not been recognized as such, he would have been floundering like everyone else who needs cancer treatment, but can't get it. What gets me is that we're supposed to be shocked that he had an amputation????? SO DO TONS OF OTHER PEOPLE, YET THEY HUMBLY ACCEPT THEIR FATE! Give me a freaking break!
