Edwards a victim of circumstance.

The tone of this article, I feel, misreads the feelings of voters who either abandoned Edwards in Iowa and other states, or did not even give him proper consideration.
Everything we see from most media has been Obama Obama and more Obama. Sure Edwards got coverage as has Clinton, but the real heart of coverage has been Obama. I cannot back this up by any rational argument, but the feeling comes through the television, radio, computer screen, and leaps off most any newspaper page. Obama is the chosen one, and it does not matter to those who support him what he does or says, they are going to vote for him and give money to him regardless. It does not matter that Edwards or Clinton would do more and fight more for those in poverty, or barely above it like me, people who NEED Clinton or needed Edwards simply follow Obama like so many sheep. It does not seem to matter to them how many adult uninsured will die during the next eight years should Obama or McCain become President. We need a President who won't take no for an answer on healthcare. Bill Clinton and the Democrats failed us by giving up on universal healthcare in the early 90's, and were content to throw Hillary under the bus. Hillary won't take no for an answer if she becomes President, and neither would have John Edwards. She will fight tooth and nail and lives will be saved. Women's issues: Obama will do nothing for us.
Clinton proposing a poverty czar is a much needed idea and it is a shame that this article's author brushes it off as nothing but a play for an endorsement from Edwards. Like Edwards, Clinton is a true believer in helping the voiceless and the fallen. Those who have given up hope would truly have a friend in either Clinton or Edwards, yet many will stumble along with the heard in to voting booths for Obama because it seems like the hip thing to do. Not me though, I believe in candidates who believe in me, and will fight for me and those in worse situations than me, Hillary Clinton. I wish Edwards would leave the door open for Vice President, but hopefully he will consider standing up for us and endorsing Senator Clinton. While those in the arenas and anchor desks cheer Obama, many of us, heads barely above water, hold out hope that Hillary Clinton will prevail. John Edwards, in his heart much know how many people feel this way.
