Unless she gets shot at on a regular basis, in which case I'd imagine that she'd be habituated to it and mis-remembering would be an easy thing to do, but having someone shoot at you with the intention to kill you is rare and traumatic enough for the rest of us that one doesn't forget it when it happens and has no excuse for thinking it happened when it didn't.
