All good about the Next President
by Alphast

But what about the current one? If Mister Fein is so shocked about the current President actions that he (rightfully) calls criminal anti-constitutional and un-American, why doesn't he call rather for an impeachment process? Clinton was impeached (without much success, fortunately) for a very minor offense, considering the total amount of crimes committed by his successor. And despite this, nobody tried to make him accountable for it. People (Democrats) whine about the fact that telecoms will be exempt of prosecution in the FISA scandal, that Myers and co. won't be called in front of the Hosue of Representatives. But the fact is the whiners (Mister Fein the first) are too scared to call the prime responsible to be accountable for his actions. They are going for the petty criminals, not the mastermind.

As an extra criticism about Mister Fein's otherwise excellent article, I would add that pulling out from everywhere would be a very selfish move from the USA. The USA are involved, under UN banner in many conflicts (including Afghanistan) and that should continue. Yes, the US military has a poor record in democratic promotion and human rights defense. That's why the US military should be place under UN control in these operations, just like other (European, Middle-East, African, Latin American or Asian) troops are. It is not that their domination would be replaced by another one (Chinese or other). It is simply because as a super power, they should also exert greater responsibility than, let's say, Uruguay (I have nothing against Uruguay... it was just an example of a relatively small harmless but very respectable country).
