Re: What function does this Racism serve
by Den

I would never deny that Racism is real, nor that it needs to be erradicated. But when we look for it everywhere, we will find it everywhere, real or imagined. There is a very large and important difference between Racism, an act of hate and fear, and percieved racism in everyday pictures and activities. How far do you want to take the parania? Do we judge clothes that have more black cloth than white? What about the materials? Is dark cereal racist because you poor milk over it? What about print, a mostly white backround with only black for the lettering?

Racism is an evil that, through education, can and must be purged from; not just our society, but all society if we are to have a real chance as a species. However, calling everything that could be concieved as potientially racist; racist, is an error. And it does more to promote fear and hatred, than it does to fight it.
