Right on.

Not seeing racism in this particular photograph is not being blase about racism. Racism is one of the great tragedies of our culture, but seeing it where it isn't does not help eradicate it where it is.

To the people who look at Lebron and see King Kong, I wonder how he would have to be photographed so that you wouldn't think of him that way. In a business suit? Sipping tea with his pinkie out? WIthout a woman in the picture? Would a black woman in the picture be okay, or someone who isn't blonde? He's been photographed as an athlete in this picture - why does that say King Kong to you? He's not allowed to be powerful and dynamic and in the same frame as a white woman because that means he's King Kong? Huh?
