Re: they are real

If you and your hubby don't have kids yet, you will be great parents!! If you already do, I bet you're kids are happier than any of their friends who act like and treat kids like little adults.

My daughter is 11, and I have very little in common with her friends parents. Why? Because when they ask me my favorite shows, I tell them Spongebob, Hannah Montana, the Emperor's New School, and Kim Possible; then, the Closer and L&O SVU. My favorite movies? Honey, I had all the Disney movies on VHS BEFORE my daughter was conceived. BEFORE I was MARRIED; but Beauty & The Beast, Lilo & Stitch; the books? Harry Potter's entire series. Then James Patterson, Janet Evanovich, and Stephenie Meyer.

My daughter has been given the same childhood I was given. We treat her as a child. When she was eight, she was treated like she was eight, not eighteen. She's 11, not 21. Her stuffies and American Girl dolls are treated like family. Just like mine were; and some still are.
