Re: Why all the hate?

I beg to differ. My baby sister had a Holly Hobbie doll that she loved to rags. Bought her a new one..heck no, she wanted the raggedy one. She still has it in a box in her closet. My sister is 33 years old.

My niece had a BJ (from Barney) that she loved. When he got left behind at her grandparents in Arkansas (we're in Texas) we bought her a new one. No dice. We gave her a Baby Bop, which she reluctantly accepted...until her granny sent BJ FedEx from Arkansas. Baby Bop went in the toy box.

You cannot replace a truly loved animal, or other "lovey". They may accept a new one on it's own merits, but if that lovey comes back, the new one will be history.
