Turks - New Applicants to NATO - Fear Women's Head Scarves?
by MichaelBernard1

Speaking plain American English, I would say that any Western, Modern Government that can be brought down by women wearing head scarves, quite honestly deserves it's fate. This goes for Turkey, for Germany, and for France, too.

How far does this anti-Moslem, anti-Arabia, anti-Religion and anti-Tradition Modernist Feminist conceit of our dopey, "modern" industrialized, mechanized, militarized Western World governments reach? Pretty far, I would guess right now. Even U.S. Senate Democrats are along for the ride.

A U.S. President and Vice President, along with an entire Party of Republicans, that apparently never read or completed a Fifth Grade Civics Class;

Let me explain to younger Americans, and remind Americans my own age: Women here in America routinely wore head coverings, scarves or otherwise, into Catholic and other churches, until just a few years ago. My Italian-American Grandmother, and all her neighborhood friends, wore head scarves routinely when leaving the house to go visit one another. So did my own Mother and her two Sisters. Western Civilization survived the assault on its foundations.

If you really want to save your Country and your Culture, ditch feminism, and find your traditions, pronto. Traditions such as limiting and limited government; slow to anger; avoiding foreign entanglements; the Golden Rule; the Ten Commandments; Live and Let Live; the Community of Nations; Republic Not Empire; and Civilian not Professional Military among others.

I would advise throwing out the Pentagon and the U.S. Government, before throwing out the women's headscarves. This America, country and people, will survive the demise of it's incredibly foolish and spendthrift government and leaders. This is the same American government, remember, that went after Martha Stewart during the Enron scandal; that went after Cat Stevens during this clash of civilizations foolishness; and that went after Governor Spitzer in New York, among other highlights of political legerdemain.

Honestly, I think it is time to impeach and start over. That new proposal out today to reform federal financial regulations presumes that Americans trust this Bush White House to do anything except leave, and the sooner, the better. Believe me, we are counting down the days until this Texan dude from Midland, Texas makes his final exit from our national stage. That he would have the nerve to propose this kind of massive legislative federal power grab, shows that Bush & Company have yet to learn their place in the American firmament, which is at the bottom of the heap, if not in jail. What utter chutzpah and incompetency!

Proposed new financial regulations announced by the Treasury Secretary would kill off savings and loans and credit unions, among other fine fruits of their inimitably incompetent misrule. Why cannot these overreaching American politicians stick to the fundamentals of governance, and avoid mucking everything up with their far-reaching monkey wrenches?

I favor regulating life insurance companies nationally, but if you can do that, why can you not figure out a way to reform our American health care system? In other words, why not federalize health insurance? The single payer plan is my prescription, while outlawing ads for pharmaceuticals, while we are at it.
