To tupperwear,
That "ball of DNA" will not develop into a baby outside of a woman’s body. In that sense, it is arguably NOT life… “A fetus is as significant morally and legally as a grown person” is not an absolute, that is your opinion.
To be sure, a sustained virus will never, ever develop into an independent human being. Whether or not an underdeveloped baby resembles a grown man or a woman, and in spite of its temporary dependency on his or her host, otherwise known as its mother (the worst case for abortion I have ever heard, by the way) scientific evidence demonstrates the absoluteness of the ball of DNA as a human being indeed, capable and certainly deserving of autonomy…
-Between the 4th and 5th day after conception, the ball of DNA finds itself in the womb, it communicates with the mother asking for nourishment, by way of a hormonal code to make the womb inhabitable for the baby to nestle in and feed from.
-The next communication with the baby’s mother is a hormone produced on day 14 in order to stop her menstrual cycle.
- By day 18 (about the time the mother discovers she is carrying a child) the crown of his or her head, cerebral vesicles have budded; his or her eyes have started to develop, along with lungs, intestine, and stomach. His or her brain has also started developing and the foundations for its nervous system have been established.
-On day 21, his or her heart begins to beat.
-By day 28, the 4 week old embryo has begun to develop muscles along his or her future spine. Its arms begin budding, and the legs aren't far behind.
-Blood begins to flow through his or her veins; the pituitary gland, ears, nose, and mouth begin to form; brain waves can be measured by an EEG by day 40.
-By week 7 (about the time the mother may choose a surgical abortion) his or her skeleton is formed; male sex organs begin to grow; the brain coordinates movement of the muscles and organs; movement is spontaneous; lips are sensitive to touch and the ears may resemble family patterns.
For that reason, women ought to ask for pictures and a sonogram photo in order to be certain about the “undifferentiated” human being she carries. <link>
The fact that the developing human being can be killed further substantiates its existence; after it has been removed, it becomes a dead human being.
informed or uninformed, bad or good, the decision, the CHOICE to have or to not have the abortion rests with the PREGNANT WOMAN.
And I maintain that because God has imparted autonomy to all human beings, the decision to live or die ought to rest on the individual under consideration.
in response to the above issues with having an abortion, most places that offer abortions also offer pre abortion counseling. Women ARE told what is involved physically and what they are likely to face emotionally, in the process of making that decision. They are not just rushed into the operating room by unfeeling baby killers.
Compared to ethical clinics, such as Crisis Pregnancy Center, the meager efforts of abortion clinics are pathetic, as abortion providers have confirmed…
“In my facilities, I always gave option counseling. Of course you make the abortion the most appealing”
“Publicly it looked good -- in reality it was another tool that was used to force a woman into abortion. It's typical -- I would give them an option and then shoot it down. The only option you didn't shoot down, obviously, was abortion.”
“The object was, when the girl called, to hook the sale… We were doing it for the money.”
“They [the women] are never allowed to look at the ultrasound because we knew… they wouldn't want to have an abortion.”
“Every woman has these same two questions: First, Is it a baby? No, the counselor assures her. It is a product of conception (or a blood clot, or a piece of tissue) ... How many women would have an abortion, if they told them the truth?”
“Sometimes we lied. A girl might ask what her baby was like at a certain point in the pregnancy: Was it a baby yet? Even as early as 12 weeks a baby is totally formed, he has fingerprints, turns his head, fans his toes, feels pain. But we would say 'It's not a baby yet. It's just tissue, like a clot.'”
“If a woman we were counseling expressed doubts about having an abortion, we would say whatever was necessary to persuade her to abort immediately.”

"it might be emotionally painful" is the WORST ARGUMENT I HAVE EVER HEARD for why abortion should be illegal.
I did not say that, besides there are plenty of other reasons for reviewing the legality of abortion. In favor of providing women with tangible evidence by way of sonogram photos, however, I do insist that the emotional consequences are worth considering.
If you want to change abortion statistics… (etc, etc)
Actually, Guttmacher reports that 54% of abortions are performed on women who had been using birth control. Although the majority of users admit to inconsistent use, which is to be anticipated, I suspect that since birth control increases the likelihood that a woman will become pregnant unexpectedly, abstinence education provides a better solution than birth control. On the other hand, provisions for ethical clinics, adoption agencies, and sonogram photos; support for pro life laws and legislation; and most importantly a universal interest in the sanctity of human life has and will continue to reduce the occurrences of abortion.
No one here is saying abortion is good
Please, I am not here to criticize. In fact my only purpose in establishing this forum has been to
impart truth; expose evil; defend the defenseless; and direct men, women, and teens to eternal life through Jesus Christ
