What I Like About Hitch
by Dan_O

I find Hitch's articles interesting because he so aggressively tries to relate behavior to outcomes. In this case, there was an ugly war going on in Bosnia resulting in the deaths of thousands of people (probably not as many as he posits , but many, many were killed). Hitch is willing to ask the questions such as: Why is this happening? Who could do something about it? What did they do? In doing so, he makes what is an utterly pointless lie into something worth thinking about. OK, Hillary, you're the one bringing up Bosnia in the mid-90's. Let's go there. It ain't pretty. What is this experience you claim to have from being the wife of a President?

Now, I routinely disagree with Hitch but I do appreciate that he takes these issues on and doesn't let powerful people off the hook. It is precisely because they are powerful that we need to press them on things like this.
