The poor in 2008.
by lucy2328

The poor in 2008 are not the same people who were poor in say 1970. The poor are allways a class of people in motion. The ultra rich are the same ultra rich nurturing their wealth via the tax system each decade.

That the rich support the middle class and poor has allways been the American anthem. Help for the poor has allways been called "welfare" charity for the rich has allways been called "tax breaks".

Who paid the million dollar paychecks for the jokers on Wall Street?. The rich or the pensions plans, tax supported State Government funds, and the IRA's and 401'k's of working stiffs?.

What have the rich done for America during the last eight years?. Created decent paying Jobs? improved the healthcare system?, improved the cost of drugs?.

What great questions the chattering class could ask. When did you last shop in a supermarket?. Do you know the price of bread milk and eggs?. Do you buy your own health insurance for your family?. How much does it cost you?. Is any of it tax supported?. When was the last time you drove into a gas station and filled up your family car?. How much are your taxes reduced by tax welfare?. When was the last time you bought car insurance?. When was the last time you drove to work on the pathetic roads that used to be called freeways?. When was the last time you had to spend hours reading the books sent to you from an HMO which point out everything you can't have?.
