Fair enough - you have your experience and I have mine. You have your theories about the general human condition, such as the idea that there is such a thing as happy virginity, and I have mine. I do agree with you that the word "pathetic" on my part was a bit much. "Not to be envied", and "deserving of sympathy" would have been more diplomatic and closer to my true feelings. I'm sure many people will say they are happy. I'm less confident that all who say they are happy really are. I'd also guess that, possibly, more women are happy without sex than men.... maybe. I think that speculations about the human condition are what makes life fun. I'm glad you enjoy them too. Send your friends along.
