Very simply, criminal defendants have a right to a "speedy trial." They're not getting it in New Orleans (or at "Gitmo"). The solution is for the judges to step up and dismiss any and all cases where the constitutional right to a speedy trial has been denied.

Unfortunately, our courts are no longer enforcing the Constitution.
