Here is something that will make you laugh and possibly gag, be careful. A few days ago, on the 231st Anniversary of the Independence of the United States, our government officials swore in 161 bona fide soldiers serving in Iraq and they all became American Citizens, just like you and me. Careful, don't choke up too much.
Since the government had to greatly increase the bonus and other costs to recruit new soldiers, perhaps the cost of one "illegal" immigrant that was made a citizen, posthumously, more than covers whatever change you are ranting about.
Of course, I am sure you will want to verify the number 161, I"ll make it interesting and let you do the Internet search. Maybe you can do the search while waiting in a Recruiting Center while you enlist. Surely, you do not want another "illegal" to die for you or to die for our country (I am a veteran) which may give a new meaning to the term "illegal".
Sorry (really am), I do not know the number that became citizens after they died, on that, you are on your own. One of them became a citizens just in time to keep his widow and orphans in this country. But, how would you quantify that in dollars and cents? You, no doubt, have ideas on that. Like send the widow and child back to where she came from? Perhaps, putting the recruitment office on the OTHER side of the border? Maybe we could have an American Foreign Legion? Oh, I forgot, we already have one with 120,000 "contractors" most of them "contracted" without ever being "illegal", ever, you know what I mean? Think about it, you'll figure it.
