"Who said greed was an especially white trait?" - Kim Moon

Doodahman, Reverend White, and Barack Obama. Clearly, if one didn't think Greed was especially white, or that greed wasn't somehow special when commited by white people, why would you have to put "white" in front of greed? You would just say greed.

That you even imagine you can sum up American history in two or three sentences indicates exactly the problem here. But just so that you aren't confused...

- Rich people have the most money and power. Most white people are not rich. The wealth and power one has at one's disposal does not necessarily reflect that person's "greed". Only a simpleton would view the world so shallowly.

- Most of the native North and South American populations die off because of disease unwittingly delivered by Spaniards. The vast majority of the fighting between Europeans and native involved natives on BOTH SIDES. In fact, Europeans were dragged into initial conflicts at the request of native tribes who wanted to settle old scores.

- Slavery existed in every country in the world at the time slaves were brought to America. So, what's so unusually white abiout having slaves?

Any more stupid ideas about "history"?
