Re: Boob job = serious self-esteem issue

Word. OMG the matronly shirts, I KNOW. D on a 5'1" frame is probably as bad as me, at least I'm 5'10". And I refuse to wear a strapless dress, ever, for any reason. For friends' weddings I say, pick a strapless bridesmaid dress if you want, but understand I will be having straps put on it. Deal.

The grass is totally always greener, I blame that on the fact that clothing is premade in "type" sizes, and very few people are "type". It doesn't matter which part of your body doesn't fit type in which direction, it's just as hard to be a skinny girl who actually, God forbid, has HIPS and is not a straight up and down stick as it is to be a fat girl who's all @$$ and hips instead of all stomach.

Never blame your body, always blame the clothes. If you find an outfit you totally love that doesn't fit you, don't cry because you can't wear that beautiful thing, take it and get it altered, you will be so much happier. I did that for my wedding rehersal. I fell in love with a dress online that only went up to size 12 and I'm an 18 (plus have to buy dresses in a 24, then have the waist taken in to account for my huge boobs/relatively tiny waist issue...). So I took a photo of it to a dressmaker and got my own. Eff ewe online dress place! Ha ha! Sure mine cost $600 instead of $100 but it's the most perfect fitting gorgeous dress I've ever owned, AND it saved me weeks of agonized shopping. Make friends with a local dressmaker, you'll never regret it.
