There was debate when abortions were illegal. And we had abortions.
There has been debate since abortion became legal. And we have had abortions.
There will be debate if abortion becomes illegal again. And we will have abortions.
As much as you would like to, in your infinite wisdom, control the behavior of other people and mold them into perfect beings like yourself -- your effort is futile.
You may actually be the only human on this earth with the true understanding of God and it might also be true that all other's understanding of God is be wrong and inferior to your own. But even God allowed people to have free will and make their own decisions.
If you don't believe in abortion -- then don't have one. If you want others to share your opinions about abortion, then share your opinion with others and encourage them to see it your way. But leave the police, the courts and the government out of it. Some social problems are best solved by society without attempting to have your government force your point of view on those with whom you disagree.
We live in a democratic republic. Your opinion has value, but it is, at this time, a minority opinion. You should just learn to live with that fact. What would you gain by achieving your desire to imprison those who dare to opt for abortion when they become pregnant? Or would you actually prefer that the government put them to death?
