I think Bill Richardson backing of Barack is because the math shows that Hillary won't be the nominee. Although Richardson is supposely close friends with the Clinton's everybody loves a winner and who knows maybe Richardson can get a post in the Barak cabinet. This move by Richardson will also help Barack with the Latino vote, when Richardson stomps for Barack. In summary it all good for Barack and once again the perception that Barack will be the nominee is moved forward by the Richardson decision.
