(God 'created' a world for us where it matters a lot if you put the wrong nuts and bolts on a motorcycle (you will crash/blow up), if you are wrong about the 'nature of God' or even if 'He' exists or not. The 'consequences' of being wrong about God will be experienced after death.)

Don't you think it'll be too late to regret it? Why don't we consider that religion was / is a means by which God sent messengers who carried certain road maps to avoid experiencing the consequences after death in case we put the wrong nuts and bolts on a motorcycle (you will crash/blow up)?

Can't we combine Will to believe doctrine and Pragmatic theory of truth?

The great American philosopher and psychologist William James made a very convincing case that "faith can create facts," a notion many moderns seem to have lost sight of to their detriment.
