Wow-Bush WAS moral?
by notasecuritysoccermom

Speaking of the quest for WMDs in Iraq, I for one can barely express my shock that they were not found after the U.S. invasion. Before the war, I allowed that the body of evidence supported the existence of WMDs. That did not seem like sufficient reason to embrace a second war, abandoning Afghanistan. Instead, I was quite certain that the real reasons we were going to war had to do with gas, greed, and oedipal issues. When we had mucked about in Iraq for a bit and still could not find those pesky WMDs, I was still ABSOLUTELY certain that they would turn up. Every day in the first few months of invasion, I checked the news for the story. After all, how hard could it be to send over some smallpox and anthrax and maybe a little plutonium and stick it in some abandoned building, “find” them, and release numerous news reports on the missing WMDs??? That the WMDs were never "found", that the quest had been largely abandoned, continues to astonish me. I can only assume that a) Bush and Co. are more moral than I gave them credit for, or b) it is harder to plant WMDs than I had assumed...
