Damnit, that was a much better heading. Oh well.

Funny stuff, I hang out in some other "comments sections" here and there, now and then. Moderately popular blogs, for instance, often grow good communities and when it happens, teh quality seems to depend a lot on the bloggers' general attitude toward the other participants (as well as the content of the blog, but often the discussions are better than the posts). The attitude from this place is special: some weird combination of support and subtle antipathy. The latter gets awfully trying after a while.
