Its easy to write one of these to generate a lot of views and replies.
It is significantly more difficult to take the time and write a
thoughtful and well reasoned post intended to generate intelligent
conversation.
Since this is a holiday and our nations birthday, I'll do something else.

Without naming nicks...there are two posters on this forum whose
real lives are so pathetic that their only claim to relevance is the
number of responses they receive for their top posts. As someone whose
real life is not so hot these days, I'd like to address them both. I'm
doing so in first person, because I'm not going to pretend that I'm
speaking for anyone but myself:
Neither of you has written anything worth reading. I mean absolutely
nothing. I'm sorry, but there it is. And you both must be quite
aware...why else would you spend so many hours spamming and ranting?
I can't decide whether I should humor you or shun you. I know for a fact that people like you do go away if they are ignored. But if this is all you've got...do I have an obligation to continue acknowledging you?
What if my written responses and ratings to your absurd top posts is
all you have to convince yourselves that you actually matter? If I
ignore you, do I send you off to a warm tub and straight razor?
Am I enabling you, or am I saving your life? If ignored, will you
finally seek help, and find some purpose in your meat life, or is this
actually all you have left?
I believe that given my particular medical problems, I'm in a unique
position to address this. Stringing two sentences together is becoming
more and more difficult for me...one funny little turn...movements of
my own or of others around me...and my equilibrium is shot...for hours
or even days. When I'm in such episodes, even remember the names of
common items becomes difficult. And these episodes are occuring with
greater frequency.
When this happens, I try not to post. And as my friends will attest, I rarely risk emailing.
Now if I can figure out that my posts are gonna be crap, why can't
you? And if I can find something else to pass my time with, why can't
you?
Can it be that the BOF has become your last refuge? Please try to
find something else. Even if it's Googling Images...or watching the TV.
Don't let our last impression of you be that you were an ass.
