I am an Independent, thank God. Watching the republicans and the democrats take cheap shots at one another is very entertaining. It's not good for the Nation, but it is certainly entertaining. Both parties are so blinded by hate and ill will, nothing good will come of it. The democrats should get an award for 'Hypocrites of the Decade'. G.W. Bush was NOT elected to TWO consecutive terms on his good looks. Obviously, many, many, many democrats voted for him, if not in the first election, certainly in the second. These same people have done nothing but whine, complain, and blame the GOP since November 2008 about everything G.W. Bush, in spite of the fact they voted for him and did NOTHING to protest his policies. Their recent 'holier-than-thou' approach to politics is now enough to make a healthy man run to the railing and hurl. Put a sock in it. Obama is a professional baloney slicer and merely tells his supporters what they need and want to hear; while he goes off and does the exact opposite, or worse. The sooner people get a hold of that fact, the sooner we can start fixing the vast number of problems in The United States of America.

Right now the government is in the hands of the left. the middle only stands in the way making sure nothing gets done. Nobody in the middle has any good ideas. most of you lean so far right that your to the right of the republican party. lets hear an accomplishment of the middle? Maybe backing Bush for 8 long destructive years. now they jumped onto the Obama wagon. most people in the middle are fair weather fans. When its good for the red team its "I'm with them!" and when its bad for the red team its "I'm in the middle, I'm not one of them!"

Bush: 47.87%, Gore: 48.38%

Bush: 50.7%, Kerry: 48.3%

Unless Democrats make up 75% of the population, "many...democrats" didn't vote for Bush.

P.S. Since it's not a political party "Independent" shouldn't be capitalized.

Don't forget about the voter fraud in both elections. Vote flipping in Florida (2000) and Ohio (2004) is now a fact as some people who arranged the reprogramming of some voting machines have come forth. Gee - I wonder why the mainstream media doesn't report this stuff? What might occur if people learn the truth? BTW - don't kid yourself that any politicians are going to solve the nation's problems. Our political system is a farce.

And being an indepedent IS taking a stand - a stand against the BS of the two main parties.
