Remember the good old days; when ADD kids were kept in the corner of the room with dunce caps on, when children with ty sachs taught there parents the meaning of suffering, when if you had your face blown off by granade fragments your wife would leave you.

What you see as morally abhorrent, I see as morally abhorrent to dismiss.

As a short cut, you could read a review of the relationship between height and success (e.g., Judge and Cable, 2004). All other things equal, taller people are given social and financial advantages which question the authenticity of any business or organization which claims to be a meritocracy.

Beauty is its own reward.

If anything, it is irrational to not pursuit surgery to make yourself taller. In the long run it pays off; literally. Anyone who suggests otherwise is more concered with teaching you how to be a good follower than with enlightening you or helping you to reach a higher status in life.
