If the money appropriated for the stimulus package had been used the bail out ALL states that were in the red, would that had not been better for the country?

It seems to me that individual states and their citizens would have prospered a lot better.

Its just a question folks.

Worth pondering?

Did you pick Texas as an example?

Guess what. texas is probably the only state that needs no help.

Anyway, whats the difference when you are bailing out everyone else.????

This stimulus package hasnt shown any results yet, and likely will not in the end.

Might as well give the bucks to someone that may be able to actually use them and in turn get better results.

Yes, it is worth pondering.

The states like the banks were run by those who made bad decisions over the years. So in a way, they are the same I suppose.

Of course, while we aren't bailing out the states, we are bailing out the banks and sending a $3 billion cash payment to Israel.

I guess if you want to get a handout from Uncle Sugar, you'd better be a crook or an AIPAC lobbyist. What am I saying? No diff.

States wouldn't need a bailout....

Maybe if the republicons hadn't cut off almost all federal funding to the states over the years and actually funded the programs they mandated like NCLB, then the states wouldn't be in such a mess. The billions spent "rebuilding" Iraq could have been used here at home with a much better result and no lost American lives.
