It is just as confusing for many of us here in the States to hear people say that free thinkers are un-American. This country was founded by free thinkers expressly for the purpose of escaping such attitudes.

Not good enough Dd :) As a probable 'pinko' I dislike many of the same things as you do but you are speaking of 'the way of the world' No matter what ones persuasion one cannot stop that ( Globalisation ). Like flogging a dead horse ..... I didn't want Britain to go into Europe but I don't bleat on about it now, it is years ago and the harm is done we have to live with what we have, not what we would wish nor what might have been.

I am also unhappy about many aspects of immigration here, though from a different perspective than yours, no doubt :-)

I don't like our Parliament being so all powerful either, school curriculum's, hospitals etc etc etc laws, laws laws, and then when they are seen to be unworkable ,amendments, amendments and amendments til we are back where we began but it is now LAW !
