Where are the governments when peope are abducted and forced into prostitution. Clearly these acts are not secrets.

Some governments (thinking Africa here...) are fairly busy doing far worse things to the men in their respective countries - i.e., killing them.

I know I am being terribly flippant here, but this keep's going through my head:

"He raped me!"

"Horrible. We shall hang him for it. Did he do anything else?"

"He killed my father, my husband, my brothers and my sons!!"

"Well never mind that. We shall hang him for raping you."

God I'm gonna get it for posting that.....

You are correct that news headline material is violent crime against women while violent crime against men is fodder for comedy.
