Which sums up in a nutshell why people in this country ought to shove the sanctimonious bullshit about "democracy" overseas and just focus on our own shit. Running the empire just is not our thing. Screaming about "democracy" when in fact our imperial interest is just making the other countries toe the globalization line just confuses the sheep and begs us to get into quagmires that only help the arms merchants and the banksters.

Our thing is to buckle down, figure out a way to earn money from abroad, and get our financial, infrastructure, health and education ducks in order. That supports world wide democracy by being a good example. That's the proper internationalist paradigm.
