These two could have been lifted from two of my brothers. The older one is a bit pushy, sometimes bossy, definitely manipulative. The younger is so laid back he's almost comatose, a bit whiny, and definitely, easily manipulated. I could easily envision a scenario such as the commercial shows.

My ex was the same way with his youngest brother. When they were in their late teens, the younger needed some money, so he sold his sterio to my ex for a cheap price. When he asked to buy it back (granted this was a year or two later) my ex refused to sell it back to him- for any price.

As to gaydar, not buying the concept. I've met too many gay folks who one would never know, until meeting the partner. Not even then, if they were concerned about how they'd be received. Not the two guys in the commercial- either out and about, or... hmmm... brothers.
