The 5th Secret, EQUIVOCATION
by AMA2002

Like a choreographer, Obama practiced presidential speak years and years before he ran for president. EVERYTHING he did in the campaign was very very well thought out.

This might seem to coincide with your four secrets, but you've forgot the most important secret and sooner or later the media is going to catch-on. Obama is feverishly caught-up in the public's opinion of his performance. He is more driven by the polls than any president we've ever had.

This drives him to exude EQUIVOCATION. He can change his mind quicker than anyone I've ever seen, depending on which way the wind is blowing......

I totally agree with you!!
Correct. Obama is at least

as poll driven as Bill Clinton was. The difference between them was that Clinton deliberately embraced a slightly Right of Center policy outlook and Obama is TRYING to go hard Left but keeps being jerked nearer to the Center by political realities.

Weisburg's asinine assertion that Obama is remotely a Centrist by inclination aside, the man's training at Harvard was Hard Left to the extent that he was very nearly a socialist and certainly his immediate years after leaving Harvard was to involve himself deeply with socialist organizations and organizers.

Obama IS a socialist and that is his automatic failsafe; it's just that current political realities do not allow him to indulge in all that many of his ideological inclinations.

Very well put! I concur.

Doesn't it make Clinton look like the good son? Kinda scary.
Really the only
by Gatewood

problem that the nation had in regards to Bill Clinton is that the man cheated on his wife and lied about cheating on his wife.

The way that our culture evolves, in a few more years that just might be a non-issue in a sitting president. Could you imaging Obama supporters turning on Obama if it were revealed that he once cheated on Michelle? Never happen. Not in a million years. Obama supporters would decide that it must have been Michelle's fault.

Yeah, well that would be last night Obama got a good night's sleep, or got anything else in that bed, except maybe a Loraina B. trim.

You classic buffoons! You are really going to be upset when this President, with a solid triple digit IQ, gets re-elected because common sense previals......this guy is good for America and the world.

The media caught on a long time ago. The evidence of this is that the polls that Obama lives by are all sponsored and skewed the the aforementioned media. I have no clue why our learned "journalists" would want our nation to circle the drain, but it seems that they do. When the Federal Government finally controls everything, the media will be the first to be muzzled. How blind and stupid can they be?

No President can be judged in such a short period of time. This is simple an article that creates a stir. I will say I am not a fan of using an IQ number to validate someone on any level. Some people that I have met in life with incredibly high IQ's turnout to be useless in the workplace. The lack of common sense and inability to communicate with people etc.

Ironically this President to date is using the exact same tactical approaches on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, not to mention they are approaching the financial crisis we face the same way as the last administration. This is privately acknowledged by his own party.

Nancy Pelosi on the other hand is just a plain liar and hack.

As opposed to GW Bush, at least Obama seems able to change his mind based on changing facts. I cannot fathom how changing one's opinion based on changing FACTS could be viewed as equivocation, Where I come from, we call that plain old informed decision making. It takes a real leader to admit he is wrong and that is something GW Bush steadfastly refused to do ever. It did not make him look like a strong leader, it made hom look like an stubborn idiot.

If the Obama administration were poll driven then he'd be accelerating many of his populist proposals rather than pulling back on them. The public wants the banks to fail rather than be bailed out, they want Gitmo closed, they want us to pull out of Iraq. Obama is tempering public opinion on issue after issue.

The 5th secret might be: " instrumental bureocracy - vs - substantive bureocracy ". Thus, you may have a Ph D. in sociology, political sciences, Public Administration, even in Finances but what President Obama is doing definetely it is breaking-up former myth and parameters in modern political history. threfore, the performance of the professional public servants in this country is gonna take a 360 grades turn-around. So, the decisions of today may need a couple more years ahead into the University classrooms in order to just be digested properly. The challenges are so many and so giants that it is clear nothing were wrote before about it.

You all give him way too much credit. It is his team that comes up with all that nonsensical blathering. He simply reads it off his prompter. Why do you think he brings it every where he goes. It's the Bamster's world; we are all slaves to it. Well, some of us. Say it with me folks. "Borrowed Ladder".

He is certainly not concerned with polls, poised and steady as he goes could care less about polls. This American president is calm and focused knowing full well the stakes in which are involved in this complex and enormous problems this country is facing. Dumbing down decisions based on polls that are mere snap shots of the moment is ridiculous. The media and the American people are obsessed with polls.
