This is not something I did for fun...and as it turns out, not something I did via Email....I only remembered this a minute ago...after searching my "sent mail" to see if I'd cc'd my message to Slate. (cuz I sure didn't remember doing that.)

Well, sure enough, there's nothing to Slate...there's nothing the Secret Service...because that wasn't done via email.

As far as the BOF is concerned...Doggydevil's post wasn't made here, and I didn't address it here. It was made on another forum, as was my reply. It was another poster who saw fit to link and copy/paste my reply to BOF...not sure why.

I stand by my actions in notifying the Secret Service, and I know that I am not the only person who did this. Doggydevil and his friends have a long history of racism, and calls to rally folks to hurt peoples of colour, etc. And I am not the first person to note this or comment about it on the fray.

Geoff posted that Slate's perceived problems with BOF had more to do with inundated inboxes. Well, hey. That lets me off, because I've checked, and I've emailed the freditor twice since Geoff left. Once to say goodbye, and then today, to ask if it was my complaint that brought this on...before I realized that it could not have been. (my IQ's not gettin' any bigger.)

DB, doggy/predicto and jo are all still posting happily. The fact is all of these posers have been here for many years. None of them should have been reported to a very busy on truly serious threats to Obama, like The Secret Service Agency for God's sake.

Predicto's posts were awful,stupid and racist and nasty, but posters have known him for years! You know that! he said he was blustering and not serious besides.

I mean you have a right to make these crank calls if you like, but you can not expect Slate not to get annoyed when you do things and accuse people and it's bogus crap.

I figured the SS didn't tell G who nor that it was you who informed them on your crank call because police orgs never tell their sources even when they are cranks.

But eventually if you keep up activity like this they will take action against you for making false charges.

And I'm hardly surprised that they concluded there was nothing serious going on here. But yes, we had to have lawyers deal with the subpoena and tech staff deal with the IP logs.

I never saw JO post anything about Obama that might be interpreted as threat; but this asshole Predicto certainly did. I saw the posts myself. LAM is an idiot who is going to say anything opposite of what Cat says and does.

God knows, I don't like Obama and if he passed on to wherever the hell Liberals go when they pass on, I would feel terrible for his family but I would not cover myself in sack cloth and ashes. But, having said that, he is the president and a threat against the president is a threat against the constitution and against the stability of the country.

I don't fault Cat for reporting the threats...I applaud her for it. I want Obama to fail...not get killed.

Like others I applaud what you did. I don't think you need to apologize or explain. Period.

Some people who post here post as if they are sick, sick, sick individuals. We all can either ignore them, or if we feel so moved report them to any agency or authority we feel eases our conscience. There is nothing wrong with that. Ever.
