The excuses
by hazydavey

I'm just doing this to get started.

The right-wingers will likely have 8 years to refine them and to perfect the tone of your whining.

1. Barack Obama did not defeat John McCain. The "liberal" media defeated John McCain.

(My favorite - here is the unifying, all-encompassing right-wing excuse for everything)

2. The sole reason for an Obama win is the economic crisis

(as if the economic situtation is just some random event with no relationship to the policies of the administration, policies McCain supported).

3. It's George W. Bush's fault.

(Obviously not all right wingers are on that bandwagon, but It's funny to see Republicans now trotting out that one).

4. Palin was a mistake.

(Right wingers are obvious split on this point - but once the election is over many more will admit that Palin is a disaster or as, Conservative commentator David Brooks observed "a fatal cancer" to the Republican party.)

5. It's Bill Clinton's fault.

(Old habits die hard)

Any others? :)

A note to right wingers: Please try not to stew and rot in your sea of delusion and denial for too long. We need for your party to recover and to return to some semblance of coherence and competence. One party rule is not healthy for our nation.

Thanks nice to know you support voter fraud....

But as a more moderate party that isn't owned by the religious right.

That'll go down as they're worst mistake.. selling out to The God Squad. ;)
Is that a nervous twinge I detect?

You seem a tad touchy about the possibility of having to eat a handfull of what you have been shoveling these past 8 years........
Thanks....

Good points there. I can't believe I left out two of the big ones:

1. Voter fraud

(I guess all of the polling is fraudulent too)

2. The public is really stupid

(always nice to learn who the real t elitists are)

They can make all the excuses they want but the truth is the republican brand is toxic right now. Don't believe me then read this conservative blog post with the understanding that those who posion the well should not complain when there is no drinking water.

What's to be nervous about?

Nope. Actually we're quite used to what you shovel.

You whined like babies for 8 years even when your party won. When Republicans controlled of every aspect of government, you did nothing but demonize the opposition, lie and attempt to avoid responsibility for your own failures and dishonesty.

Why would we expect different from you this time?

Yup

Here's one too.

6. "McCain wasn't ENOUGH of a conservative. He should have pushed for the complete elimination of Social Security and Medicare, a total switch to a Sales Tax, and immediate bombing of Iran. A REAL conservative would have won it!"

The correct "excuse" is #2....
by ErictheRight

Obama totally meant to run on the war, but that didn't go his way.

He might've run on the debt and deficit, but he has NO answer for either and will only add to both.

He could not run on the now deceased issue of global warming, because it's been stalled and he's notmuch different on the toic than McCain.

He couldn't run on the politically correct topic of illigal immigration, he and McCain are too alike on it.

He couldn't run on Republican scandals, with the similar numbers of Dems caught up in their own.

That leases us with the fortunate timing of the housing implosion. The misdirection of guilt, and the laziness of people not caring to hear all the facts on it, became the centerpiece of his campaign. That, and lying about McCain's health care plan.

What history revision...
by ErictheRight

Sore/Loserman ring a bell dimwit?

You guys pissed and whined like babies for years. The infantile response to losing elections, and not getting your legislation through was amazing.

Now it's your story that we "whined when our party won". How could you tell over the blubbering of your party?

Re: The excuses

Ooooh....want some TOTALLY conspiratorial that truly nutty (aka el cid) cons can run on?

"McCain DELIBERATELY lost the election. He was a Manchurian Candidate brain-washed by the Vietnam Commies in Hanoi as a POW, to run and lose 40 years later, so THEIR candidate, the Commie Black Guy, could win!!!!!!!"?

Hey Blighty...
by Bo-4
Grow up and admit that Bushie ran our country (and your party thankfully) to hell in a handbasket.

Thanks.. you'll feel better when you get a grip on that reality.
More strawmen Eric?

Blubbering? Take it up with "my party" - whatever the hell that means.

I'm talking about you guys and your conduct here.

Republicans controlled both houses of Congress, the administration, most state Governorships, and most judicial appointiments in the land and what did Fraycons like yourself do here for the past 8 years?

Whine about all of the evil liberals, and their conspirators in the media "undermining" your wonderful war, helping the terrorists and preventing the Republicans from accomplishing a damn thing. ("Restore honor the White House!" "No Nation Building!" "Smaller government!" "Privatize Social security!")

Any of these ring a bell?

Hysterical!
