The authors equate any criticims of Jews, or even any suggestion that Jews may share a common set of characteristics and act in concert, as 'anti-semitism'. This is in accord with current usage, where any hint that Jews behave in anything less than a saintly manner is evidence of extreme prejudice.
Further, the Jews are also the greatest victims in history, as they have been for at least 2000 years, and are hence due every consideration, their feelings being the most sensitive of all.
By my reckoning, Nixon was the last of the realists, in private, at least. I think an increasing number of Americans are coming to share this view.
