They're Great But Too Slow
by anonymousalso
Jamocha shakes? Curly Fries? Cheddar with The Special Sauce? Their food is great, but their service is too slow; they might have become much more popular if they'd been able to speed up the time from order placement to food getting. I think I'll go there today!

I second this. I love Arby's food. They have an awesome orange shake in the summer, and they often do some cool alternative sides, like onion petals. But, the service is so slow that I regret it every time I try to swing by during lunch.

I think that a lot of the reason that it takes so long to be served at Arby's is that there are too many items on their menu. People come in and hold up the line trying to decide what they want. Arby's really needs to trim and simplify its menu. That way, people won't take as long to decide on what they want and preparation will be easier since workers won't have so many different items (and different preparations) to deal with.

Service varies wildly from location to location with any chain. Our local Arby's is fast. Wendy's is super-fast which always impresses me because they really do make all the sandwiches at the time of ordering. Our local Taco Bell is the place time forgot. I've eaten there once since the time I went and had to wait 45 minutes to get my food with only a couple of other people inside the store.
