Arby's does have salads
by AnaMen
And they are no worse for you than the salads at other fast-food restaurants. This article leaves one with the impression that the menu at Arby's is measurably less healthy than other fast-food options, but 15 seconds of research prove otherwise. Not to mention the fact that Americans are not rejecting the unhealthy choices available at other restaurants (1130 calorie Triple Whopper, anyone? How about a 970 calorie Baconator?). I really don't think health considerations have anything to do with the popularity, or lack thereof, of Arby's.

I'm sure the author shared a few chuckles with his chums back at the yacht club when he told them Arby's offers no haute cuisine. Frankly, this was nothing more than an opportunity to put down Arby's, snag a free expensive account lunch, and draw to a "man, them's some bad eats" conclusion.

Funniest thing I ever heard on Letterman: he was interviewing the soldier who was shot down in Somalia. The guy lived in the wild for a few weeks until he was rescued by Amry Rangers or some such. Letterman asked him how he survived without any food, and the soldier said he lived on bugs and twigs. Letterman looked surprised, and said, "I didn't know Arby's had salad bars in Somalia!"
