"Medical personnel from the Capitol physician's office—an entity that could, quite accurately, be labeled government-run health care."
"Quite accurately ... labeled."? You can't be serious.
Large factories also have a resident doctor. Would anyone call that Ford-run healthcare?
Reading all the new mandates and regulations being proposed, the teabaggers are wrong. With or without the so-called public option, we see a rather obvious attempted government takeover of our healthcare. Again.
Democrats have been screwing up our healthcare since the New Deal, when employee benefits became a loophole in the strict wage controls at the time.
Then, in 1954, it was a Democrat Congress that created the gross injustice of tax-free health insurance ... but only when an employer pays for it. Just one of many times they sold us out for the unions.
Every single mess in our healthcare system was created by Democrats, so why expect them to actually fix anything?
Medicare will go bankrupt in only 8 years -- even though its trust fund is now being subsidized with 10.5% of all personal and corporate income taxes.
The Post Office is incapable of competing against two for-profit companies, without a legally-mandated monopoly. And I've been asking liberals for decades to name a single case where a government entity was more efficient than any competitive private market.
Democrats will never pass a bill. And if they do, it will be repealed after a Republican sweep next year. One party is owned by corporations. The other is owned by trial lawyers and labor unions.
