She has written or co-written over 90% of her music and nearly all her lyrics, produced her albums, directed several videos . . . she's one of the highest-selling artists in any genre world-wide, and if you'd actually listen to an in-depth interview with the woman you'd find her very articulate and interesting. Sorry she doesn't dress all rasta like Lauryn Hill or someone critics gush all over themselves to love, but when it comes to coming from a less-than-ideal background in New York, she IS the real deal.

So it's fine and dandy for Mariah to ugly down for a role in a flick but when other Black actresses do the same it it unconscionable? I personally thought that Halle looked hotter portraying a human being but to each his own. Poor Mariah, she can't catch a break...
