Office of the Attending Physician
by entdoc
The Office of the Attending Physician is hardly government health care. It functions basically as an occupation health department for congress, and the congressmen pay a small amount for some boutique health care services. So unless Timothy Noah is holding forth boutique health care as his model for health care reform he is really scraping the bottom of the barrel for an example. That office providing emergency care to someone who collapsed near the capitol is hardly government health care riding to the rescue. It is no different than someone collapsing at your office and being brought to employee health to provide emergency care while waiting for the ambulance to come. Which is, technically, required by the law. Besides, for all we know the patient will get a bill.
