Life without the possibility of parole.
by flrdalyn

Can this be possible for a crime that did not result in the death or grave permanent harm of another human? I am NOT diminishing the crime of rape by any means. It seem the path is so wide for penalties that a sloppy defense of an accused combined with failure of a prosecution to take prudent care of evidence is a nightmare for justice.

The physical evidence destroyed and the victim not sure? What the hell kind of justice system is this?

The victim is not served in this scenario and the prosecution is not penalized for sloppy work so it can continue and result in others being falsely accused or criminals getting off because they know how to play the system and know how to scapegoat. There is no honor among thieves.

If this doesn't get people to realize that the first thing one should do when accused of a crime is shut up and call up a lawyer. I've seen it in the juvenile justice system that even young people are taken advantage of my the state who also likes to move up the ladder by making a name for themselves taking the easiest path possible and taking advantage of the most ignorant.

Face it people the story about "Who chopped down the cherry tree" is a fairy tale that telling the truth will get you merit on earth. Only in heaven does the truth count. Deny, deny counter accuse is the way of this world.

Why in hell is that criminal in a wheel chair. Is that a ploy. I don't think that will help him right now, if it is. Two convictions of breaking and entering, killing a dog and allegedly raping a women makes it a little hard to see him as a total victim. Some of them young'uns grow up real fast and can do as much harm as an adult. The law recognizes that, but at the same time there should be limits on a judge who being human can't help but be subjective. If this article is being honest about this case, it deserves a second and third or more look.

Who can doubt the result if this wonderful young man is someday released to prey upon, excuse me -interact, with society? Is this the way any of the posters acted when they were this age? I hope not.

by question?
You say the "Victim is not served", so when you spoke with her and listened to her and determined the extent of the damage she suffered, did she tell you what would best serve the victim?
