They have announced a new plan - which I suggested a long time back: For families which don't qualify for renegotiated mortgages, they will allow homeowners facing foreclosuree to sign their deeds over to FM and then lease their homes for one or more years. This will be allowed only for owner (well, ex-owner) occupied homes - no speculators need apply! The other shoe hasn't dropped yet, at least not that I have heard, which will allow that arrangement to be reversed at some point.
