Actually, this article failed to report the Sheriff's admission that from the time Falcon was 'discovered' safe and sound to a point about two days later - they lead the Heene family to think that they (the sheriff's office) believed them - in order to garner cooperation.

Now, you can say that the sheriff lied about that - but in his admission (I'm not going to bother to look it up for you right now) he said something like... "We are probably guilty of decieving the media as well. We led the Heene's to think we believed their story in order to gain their cooperation."

He sounded very remorseful about misleading the media. And we all know that in an investigation - it's important sometimes for law enforcement to play along to get more information.

Please don't paint Colorado law enforcement as idiots. We have the Heene's for that!
