OMG…! Some enlightening and very informative material in ALL of this, the original article does a fine job explaining the “average” pros and cons of taking a shower, any kind of shower, long, short, when, where, what temperature …And the respondents also did a great job further explaining the intricacies of the particulars of some “specific” places and ways to take said “shower.” BUT no such thing as a FREE lunch, it all costs something. The wind turbines are relatively expensive to purchase (initially) [as are all current sun/ wind energy generating technologies] and since when do maintenance personnel work for free and where do they get their free supplies and equipment …?

It all comes down to common sense and informed decision making when consuming resources. Even nuclear generation requires some sort of financial support, unless were talking the * Simpsons/ Burns system where a brick tied to a lever controls the power plant.
